A walk to blend

One afternoon outside

lovers go and lovers come
awandering awondering
but any two are perfectly
alone there’s nobody else alive

If you’re an old reader of this blog, you may remember that walking in little coastal towns and noting down little things of nature are my most favorite activities. It’s fun to watch tiny lives living fearlessly close to the big ocean. It’s fun to take a hike around them.

I have seen foggy mornings, cloudy afternoons, sunny golden hours close to the shore. I have felt how nature can change in every hour, and I have fallen in love with the ocean, rocks, valleys after each visit.

(such a sky and such a sun
i never knew and neither did you
and everybody never breathed
quite so many kinds of yes)

Each season, the wildflowers bloom. People collect shells, rocks, and other objects that ocean throws back to us. Sometimes the sky matches its color with the mood of the ocean. Sometimes a trail opens its heart to the horizon without giving any logical explanation.

not a tree can count his leaves
each herself by opening
but shining who by thousands mean
only one amazing thing

Sometimes a thin branch bravely hugs the ocean wind. Sometimes I come across pretty wild flowers and a dead tree lying together under the open sky, blending life and lifelessness. And I wonder if to blend with nature is just a mortal desire!
