One day in the rain

Oneday in the rain

Outside the rain is
falling down like memory,

and the soil is warm.

Warm is your soul too,
maybe little feverish
after catching a cold
from hearts that

are stubborn to change.

You should sleep now
and let the rain sing her

usual hopeful lullaby:

The sun after the rain is
always more alluring than
the sun you saw before.

  1. A bit of stubbornness is good too unless it makes the heart cold. πŸ™‚ I hope your thoughts made you smile today. Thank you for reading, Patrick.

  2. Thank you, Sampada, for reading and the award. I hope to get back to reading your amazing stories soon. 😊

  3. “hearts that are stubborn to change”
This phrase in your poem made me think of the happiness we miss experiencing due to our stubbornness of wanting things a certain way.

So what do you think?
