This pain is momentary,
it will fade like
scar on your skin,
like snowballs in April sun.
Tonight let’s dream
of something easy,
like everything else
that we don’t fathom:
impermanence of life,
and permanence of endurance.
Tonight let’s dream of
the moon struggling to smile
from the jungle of wires:
it’s okay to howl at the moon,
until the moon disappears
beneath tomorrow’s sunlight.
