Art imitates life

“You use a glass mirror to see your face; you use works of art to see your soul.” ― Back to Methuselah

Oscar Wilde’s “Life imitates art far more than art imitates Life” is today’s photography inspiration.

This is a photograph of reflections on a broken window that I was trying to save for memory. My fascination with photographing windows doesn’t end here. Every time I see one, I look out to observe reality, or to capture one.

Do you find Art different from life?

Musings about life and photography.

  1. Art IS life and vice versa. There are so many facets to the whole world labeled “art”..Photography, painting, sketching, writing, singing…all windows to our soul of curiosity. When we are touched by the hand of creativity, we cannot help but be changed. And that’s when art becomes life.

  2. The details are so well captured. This is a wonderful photo. Not able to decide if art imitates life or life imitates art here. Amazing dilemma created through camera. Superb! Your choice of words are always good.

So what do you think?
