Silent bay

Morro Bay

Still. So still.
As if the moment
got a backache
after a long run
and decided to
sit with you.

You wonder
if the air that
you gasped could
make less noise.

Words, in their
absence, look wiser.
And you sit here,
giving the water
a cold stare.

Past weekend I stopped at Morro Bay for a quick lunch break on the way back home. The air was crisp, hilltops playing with fog, the sky awkwardly cloudy, and the water so still that I could happily gaze at it until sunset. Nature truly heals.

  1. For more than a month my life has been pretty hectic. All I wanted was peaceful moments and the ocean always offers that. Thank you very much for your visit and comment, Indira.

So what do you think?
