Drink a cup of tea. Better if you can add cardamoms
and a bit of love. Go out in sunlight. Hug. Hug harder.
There’s always going to be shadow in a sunny world.
Rest sometimes. And while you rest, find a pretty
bird and click a photo. Share it with your grandmother
later. Call her often. Talk. Tell her you look pretty today.
Whisper. Whisper to yourself when everyone’s loud.
Listen to your inner voice. Express. Express your hopes
and anger. Comfort. Save that person from drowning.
Learn. Learn swimming. Feel. Feel the ocean and its
warmth. Warm your food when it’s cold. Share. Touch
the frosty field outside. Make a snowman. When
he melts, prepare a bed of spring flowers. Pluck a flower
every day and put in your vase. Make a home. Love.
Love unconditionally. Live. Live as if it’s your last chance.

18th Day of A to Z Challenge. R for recipe today! What’s your most favorite recipe?
“We cannot take other people’s pain away, but we can help them look at their pain differently. ” So true, Christy. Staying connected to roots is what I try too. I try to talk to all my favorite people from the memory. Thank you for your words, Christy. I am glad too. ❤ ❤
Ah yes, I remember this post! You posted this on April 21, the other on May 21. 21 is a very powerful number.
“There’s always going to be shadow in a sunny world.” This is so true, and I think something many people forget. You cannot have shadows without light. Sometimes people get so sad and dark from staring at their shadows they forget to just turn around, the sun is right behind them.
And regarding comforting others…It is good for others to know they are not alone in their feelings of sadness or grief. We cannot take other people’s pain away, but we can help them look at their pain differently.
My recipe? I try to remember at night before I go to sleep to say “thank you for my blessings.” And I say hello to my mother and aunt and grandparents and share a little of my day with them. I still call them on the phone, but it’s just a different sort of telephone line now. 😉 It helps to keep me grateful and to keep me connected to my roots.
You are a very unique and special lady, Archita. I’m so glad we met.
Love, christy

Beautiful sentiment expressed poetically… Thanks Archita!
Beautiful. Really gives that “homemade” feeling.
So well-written! That’s a work of art, Archita!
