The heart tells you funny stories,
and sometimes it makes
a potent noise
that sounds like loneliness
or like a greedy ache.
The heart tells you what love is,
and sometimes it shows you scars
that don’t complete
any definitions anymore.
The heart tells you to be happy,
and sometimes it reveals
how ephemeral
every worldly thing is,
knowing how you want to last,
in inartistic feelings,
in bad poetry,
gasping for eternity.

Spring is here, the beauty of this season is short-lived as I’m not fond of summer. Almost every weekend, I’m going out to capture new maple leaves, buds and petals. How are you celebrating your spring?
What part of US you are? We are still getting morning frost and expecting wet snow this evening.
The irony here is heart feeds the brain and at times brain overcomes the heart!
Thank you!

Absolutely beautiful
yep, i hope so too 🙂
In California spring is almost summer. 🙂 Thank you for stopping by.:) Hope you get spring pretty soon. 🙂
Thank you, Vishal. 🙂 Your comment brought a happy smile.:)
Yep poems and pictures like that keep reminding me of what spring is supposed to look like instead of the snow I am getting. Good work 🙂
Gem of a post. The heart never lies:)
Yes, it’s the season of cleaning and decluttering for sure:) Thank you. 🙂
I’m too critical about pictures I take, more critical when I’m present in them. I guess, I’m happy with this one. Thank you, Shaliaja, 🙂 and the feeling is mutual. 🙂
Love the picture. As for your words, you know I always love those 🙂
Loved the poem, adored the last four lines. My spring ritual is all about decluttering, letting things go.
Here in California, Summer is very bright and warm, so I am happier in Spring and Autumn when the sun does not hurt that much. By the way Kristine, I am a fan of your blog. 🙂 Thank you for writing wonderful things. 🙂
Thank you, Ree. 🙂 Ya, I’d like to call it my spring portrait.:)
I am the same! Love spring and not fond of summer . . .
Missed you! Gorgeous words to accompany your spring portrait!
