“Never forget that once upon a time, in an unguarded moment, you recognized yourself as a friend.” – E. Gilbert
Nobody has ever evaluated,
not even poets who
claim to know love,
how much the heart
can hold back.
Beautiful words and it goes well with the photo. Love is endless and fathomless 🙂
How true! Thank you for comment, Suyash. 🙂
🙂 🙂 You are welcome dear…
You need a love button for this post; like just isn’t enough.
That’s so motivating. I value your words. Thank you very much for the cheer. 🙂
Your words remind me of a recent conversation I had about conditional love verses unconditional love. Based on my musings since that conversation, if we hold back our love it could be seen as conditional. If we give all the love we have to someone, than it is truly unconditional love which would include a love that suffers long and is kind; a love that does not envy; a love that does not parade itself, is not puffed up; a love that does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; a love that does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; unconditional love would bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Unconditional love would never fail. (my take on 1 Corinthians 13:4-8)
I believe, there’s nothing called conditional love. If there are conditions, it’s not love. But I know not many people define love that way- love comes in many formats. 🙂 You’ve summed up very well, Patrick. I agree with you. Thank you very much for reading and sharing your wise thoughts.
I agree with you on conditional love not being true love. But people really do think this way sad as it is.
