Like a bird ,
free,
wings spread in the air ,
feet on the ground ,
She stands out ,
reminding me of the
unpretentious beauty
in front of the deep blue ocean.

I saw pampas grass on my way to Point Reyes National Seashore , a serene place – not too far from the busy city I live in. This weed is tall , beautiful , with razor-edged leaves .
I clicked a few pictures of them and my best friend asked me what beauty I see in these wild flowers all the time !
I love wild flowers and weeds more than I love flawless red roses at local florist’s store. I love flawed , not so beautiful natural things over artificially made beauties !
Does love ever follow any logic?
I completely forgot these pictures I clicked ; then , today,I read Moondustwriter’s beautiful haiku about this wild beauty.
I do not know how to write a good haiku , but I thought of writing a short poem .

→ Do you have anything to say about pampas grass? Do you love flowers ? Have you checked other wild flower pictures here ?
You remind me of daisies ( and vice versa ) 🙂 . That’s wonderful to have some weeds in your garden . Love and hugs 🙂
Yay! Pauline , I feel happy knowing many of us are so similar even though we live in different parts of the world. 🙂 What connects us , is , our inner emotions or , maybe our similar interpretations 🙂 Thank you for the support and readership. 🙂
I know. 😀 That’s intentional , left to dreamy minds .:) Glad you observed that. 🙂

In my country we call these ‘Toi-toi’ [sounds like toy-toy] they line the road ways and fields and wave beguilingly in the breeze. I have always loved them – and like you, am a huge fan of wild flowers and gardens 🙂
I’ve always loved wildflowers over store bought “perfect” flowers. I leave some weeds in my garden because they’re pretty 🙂
