Layers of life.

Layers of life grow here
inside the closed door of the heart.
I wake up ,
I sleep,
with the Sun , hiding in the cloud
covered with dust.

Echoes of a few words whisper,
in silence, that
I have lost something ,
something I have to search and undust.

Scattered hopes they are ,
I try to think ,
or, our laughter that I framed
and put on a wall.

Layers of life grow here, every second.
I try to taste the pain ,
when night embraces me,
when salty tears brighten up
the night ,
and I hide behind my dark shadow.

Tomorrow becomes yesterday again ,
memory outgrows those picture albums.
Untouched regrets and twists in desires
call out my name.

And I sit here,
weaving threads of unspoken stochasticity,
searching where the story meandered,
in the layers, layers of life.

  1. Thank you so much, Dhriti. It took almost 5 and half months of baby walk to reach to 100th. 🙂 Hope to see you here again , pretty soon. 🙂 *Hugs*

  2. In probability theory, a stochastic process is a collection of random variables. this is often used to represent the evolution of some random value, or system, over time.In a stochastic process there is some indeterminacy: even if the starting point is known, there are several directions in which the process may evolve. Somehow I love that word “stochasticity” in mathematics as it’s multi-dimensional and random. Just like our stories of life. 🙂 My brother also thought “randomness” would have worked better in the flow of the poem. And I am sure no poet ever used “stochasticity” ..but I somehow wanted to check how it sounds in a poem written on life. 😀

I am so glad that you liked the design and the poem, Indira. And can’t thank you enough ,for your beautiful and honest words. Okay, another big hug on your way. 😀

So what do you think?
